As a Texas native and one of the few female board-certified plastic surgeons and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Jennifer Walden has made a name for herself and her strong work ethic. Dr. Walden graduated in 1998 as the salutatorian of her class at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Once completing her fellowship training at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital in New York, Dr. Walden maintained her relationships with professional associations, such as an Associate of Sherrell J. Aston, MD, FACS. In 2011, she built a successful practice in New York City before returning to her hometown of Austin, Texas. She currently has over 5 hospital appointments and privileges in hospitals in the Texas and New York area. In 1998, Dr. Walden,before she was a doctor, was noted in the Who’s Who among American Universities. Since then, she has received over twenty awards and honors recognizing her hard work and expertise in the medical field. Dr. Walden has appeared on various media outlets, such as CBS, Fox News, ABC, VH1, Vogue, and E!, not to mention local news stations. She is a valuable resource to those who are looking into plastic surgery. She makes her patients feel comfortable and respected. Aside from her career in the operating room, Dr. Walden has presented in dozens of national and international arenas to exhibit a variety of presentations from her research and her work. She has published a variety of articles in scholarly journals as well as providing her expertise as a consultant and advisor in an array of professional panels. While Dr. Walden has her professional career, she also volunteers and is a philanthropist. She currently volunteers for the ‘Food in Tummies Program’ as a donor and principal sponsor as well as with the ‘Austin Smiles Medical Mission Trip’ as a surgeon volunteer. Dr. Walden is recognized as one of the few successful females in her field that is typically male-dominated. Her experience in the medical field around the country has helped her gain the respect in the medical community. Just last year, Dr. Walden was recognized as one of the “Texas Super Doctors” in Texas Monthly. Her reputation relies on her strong work ethic, her trustworthiness, and her dedication to her passion.
