Duda Melzer, real name Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer, comes from a successful entrepreneurial family. He is the grandson of the founder of the RBS Group, Mauricio Sirotsky Sobrinho. RBS Group was a small TV station when it was established, but today has 18 television stations, 24 radio stations and eight newspapers under its control. Apart from running his family business, he is also the founder and the chairman of the eBricks Digital, an investment company with operations in Brazil and the United States.
In an article on Estadao, Right after completing his graduation at the age of 26 from Pontifical Catholic University located in the Rio Grande do Sul, he went to the United States for MBA from Harvard University. He also obtained another business degree from Harvard and worked with some companies in the United States before coming back to Brazil to join his family business. During his stay in the United States, he was also the President of Box Top Media located in New York. He slowly climbed the positions in the RBS Group and after the retirement of his Uncle, he became the President of the RBS Group in 2012.
