It is evident that cancer is one of the most dreaded diseases in the United States and around the world. According to a report released by the National Cancer Institute, 14.5 million American citizens were cancer victims in 2014. To make matters worse, that figure is estimated to rise to 19 million by the year 2024. However, the good news is that companies such as Tempus have made great advances in discovering a treatment for the disease. Eric Lefkofsky, a co-founder of Groupon Tempus has been on the forefront in data-enabled precision medicine.
