Susan McGalla Has Broken Barriers To Prove Women Can Take On Executive Roles

There are many women who struggle to make it to executive level roles and other top-level positions, but Susan McGalla,who is an executive consultant and businesswoman, has worked hard to breakdown barriers that women seem to face in these competitive environments.

Susan McGalla works with people of all ages, both men and women. This stems from her childhood, as she had quite a few brothers and her dad was a football coach. She did not receive special treatment due to her being a girl. When Susan McGalla wanted something, she would work hard to achieve it.

As a working professional, Susan McGalla continues to strive to get what she wants. As a result of her work ethic, she has help numerous leading executive roles. Her career began at American Eagle Outfitters. When she first started with the company, only men held executive positions. Before she left American Eagle Outfitters, she became the president.

After leaving American Eagle Outfitters, she launched her own business called P3 Executive Consulting. The sports industry may be male-dominated, but she has not let that deter her. In fact, she continues to work on business strategy and creative development for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She grew up on the state of Ohio and while at Mount Union College, she launched her own business. This was back in 1982, and a few years later she graduated from college. For over 10 years she worked at American Eagle Outfitters, where she helped the company grow from just being one brand to four major brands. As a result from her work, revenue increase by over $2.2 billion. She has also worked with the Wet Seal, which sought her help to reinvent its own brands.
